Dan Moran (Wilbraham, Mass.) was victorious in the 200-yard butterfly (1:58.97) and the 500-yard free (5:02.50), while sophomore
Jeff Doornweerd (Meriden, Conn.) posted wins in the 50-yard free (22.43) and 100-yard free (49.87) to lift the Pride past New York University, 135-106, at the Art Linkletter Natatorium.
SC freshman diver
Mike Shaw (Westfield, Mass.) qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championship with a second-place score of 282.68 on the 3-meter board.
With the victory, the Pride improves to 2-4, while the Violets fall to 5-2.
SC next travels to Williams on Saturday, Jan. 25 for a 1:00 p.m. meet.

Peter Avdoulos is regarded as one of the top diving coaches in the nation, and will enter his 25th season as the diving coach for both the men's and women's programs in 2009-2010. The current NEWMAC Men's Diving Coach of the Year, Avdoulos has coached countless All-New England and All-American divers, as well as several National Champions.
