Men's Swimming And Diving Downs Coast Guard, 130-111

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., February 1, 2003 - Springfield College freshman Dan Moran (Wilbraham, Mass.) won the 1000-yard free (10:10.89), the 200-yard butterfly (1:59.41), and the 500-yard free (5:01.28) to pace the Pride in a 130-111 victory of the Coast Guard Academy on Saturday.

Also helping out in the cause was sophomore Louis Arruda (West Warrick, R.I.), who captured the 200-yard free (1:46.69) and the 100-yard free (48.85).

SC freshman diver Mike Shaw (Westfield, Mass.) won the 1-meter (267.08) and 3-meter (276.55) diving competitions.

The Pride improves to 3-5 on the season. SC hosts Babson on Sat., February 8 at 1:00 p.m.
