Women's Volleyball Ends Regular Season With 3-0 Win Over WPI

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Nov. 2, 2002 – Springfield College senior outside hitter Heather Schlitz (Huntington Station, N.Y.) registered a match-high nine kills and senior middle blocker Jaime Austin (Bedford, N.H.) totaled seven kills as the Pride defeated WPI, 3-0 (30-14, 30-13, 30-10), on Senior Day in Blake Arena.

Springfield (22-11, 6-3 NEWMAC), which totaled a .441 team hitting percentage and 22 service aces for the match, finished the regular season with its third-straight New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) victory.

The Pride will host a first-round game of the NEWMAC Tournament on Tuesday, November 5th, with time and opponent to be announced.
