No. 25 Women's Volleyball Wins Johnson & Wales Invitational
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - September 11, 2004 - Springfield College senior middle blocker Christine Jones (Wallingford, Conn.) was named MVP of the Johnson & Wales Invitational after leading the No. 25 Pride to four-straight wins and the team championship, Saturday.Junior All-American setter Alesia Vaccari (Winsted, Conn.) joined Jones on the All-Tournament team as the Pride swept Bridgewater State (30-23, 30-23, 30-27) and Johnson & Wales (30-18, 30-19, 30-18) on Friday, and Eastern Nazarene (30-17, 30-24, 30-12) and Wheaton (30-10, 30-16, 30-14) Saturday.

Head Coach Joel Dearing
Joel Dearing will enter his 21st season as head women's volleyball coach at his alma mater in the fall of 2009. Dearing is regarded nationally as one of the sport’s best coaches and he has the resume to prove it. Dearing ranks in the top-10 in Division III history with a 670-298 (.692) overall mark in 28 seasons as a women’s volleyball coach.
