Women's Volleyball Keeps Rolling With 3-0 Win Over Smith College

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Oct. 1, 2002 – Springfield College senior outside hitter Heather Schlitz (Huntington Station, N.Y.) registered 14 kills and 10 digs as the Pride defeated Smith College, 3-0 (30-20, 30-23, 30-23), in New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women’s volleyball action in Blake Arena.

Springfield freshman Alecia Vaccari (Winstead, Conn.) was credited with 33 assists and 16 digs for the Pride (11-1, 3-1 NEWMAC), which handed Smith (9-3, 3-1 NEWMAC) its first conference loss of the season.

Smith outside hitter Kate Sorensen (Kelso, Wash.) totaled 11 kills and 13 digs in the loss for the Pioneers
