Women's Volleyball Blanks Babson, 3-0 In NEWMAC Action

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Oct. 22, 2002 – Springfield College senior outside hitter Heather Schlitz (Huntington Station, N.Y.) registered 14 kills and nine digs as the Pride defeated Babson College, 3-0 (30-19, 30-21, 30-20), in New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women’s volleyball action in Blake Arena.

Springfield freshman setter Alecia Vaccari (Winstead, Conn.) was credited with 34 assists for the Pride (18-9, 4-3 NEWMAC) who broke a four-match losing skid with the victory.

Babson outside hitter Alyson Yablonskie (Milton, Mass.) totaled 10 kills and 17 digs in the loss for the Beavers (15-12, 2-5 NEWMAC).
