Women's Volleyball Falls At No. 3 Juniata, 3-0

HUNTINGTON, Pa.,Oct. 1, 2004 – Sophomore libero Leah Hettrick (Meriden, Conn.) was credited with 16 digs, but No. 3 Juniata College swept Springfield College, 3-0 (30-20, 30-26, 30-25) in women’s volleyball.

The loss drops Springfield to 12-4 on the season, while the Eagles improve to 17-2.

Springfield returns to New England Men’s and Women’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action next Tuesday when it takes on Wheaton College at 7 p.m. in Blake Arena.

Dearing is regarded nationally as one of the sport’s best coaches and he has the resume to prove it.
