Women's Soccer Battles Williams To 0-0 Draw
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass., Sept. 9, 2003- Springfield College sophomore keeper Christina Davis (Orange,Conn.) blanked Williams College for 110 minutes and recorded nine saves to lead the Pride to a scoreless draw with the Ephs in a non-league match on Tuesday.
Davis posted her second consecutive shutout to keep the Pride unbeaten at 1-0-1. She shutout Western New England, 4-0, on Sept. 4. The match was the season-opener for Williams, which entered the afternoon ranked No. 5 in the National Soccer Coaches' Association New England regional poll.
SC hosts Westfield State on Thursday at 4 p.m. on Brock- Affleck Field.

John Gibson, a native of London, England, enters his 10th season as head women's soccer at Springfield College in the fall of 2009. Gibson has led the Pride to the NCAA Tournament in three of the last four years and has established the Pride as one of the top programs in the country.
