Women’s Soccer Defeats Mount Holyoke, 3-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Oct. 15, 2002 – Springfield College freshman Amanda Nealon (East Falmouth, Mass.) buried two first half goals to lead the Pride to a 3-0 victory over Mount Holyoke in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference game this afternoon and Brock-Affleck Field.

SC senior Alison Passante (Vernon, Conn.) added a third goal in the 85th minute to seal the victory for the Pride. Springfield College improves to 6-7 (3-2 NEWMAC) this season.

Mount Holyoke senior goaltender Kristen Van de Geer (Monson, Mass.) made 14 saves in the losing effort. The Lyons move to 6-5 (1-4 NEWMAC) this fall.
