Women’s Soccer Defeats Mount Holyoke, 3-0
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Oct. 15, 2002 – Springfield College freshman Amanda Nealon (East Falmouth, Mass.) buried two first half goals to lead the Pride to a 3-0 victory over Mount Holyoke in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference game this afternoon and Brock-Affleck Field.SC senior Alison Passante (Vernon, Conn.) added a third goal in the 85th minute to seal the victory for the Pride. Springfield College improves to 6-7 (3-2 NEWMAC) this season.
Mount Holyoke senior goaltender Kristen Van de Geer (Monson, Mass.) made 14 saves in the losing effort. The Lyons move to 6-5 (1-4 NEWMAC) this fall.

Head Coach John Gibson
John Gibson, a native of London, England, enters his 10th season as head women's soccer at Springfield College in the fall of 2009. Gibson has led the Pride to the NCAA Tournament in three of the last four years and has established the Pride as one of the top programs in the country. His clubs have registered an impressive a 110-56-14 record.
