

On August 10, 2007 Peter Ferraro was appointed the head men's cross country coach. A 2007 graduate of Springfield College, Ferraro returned to his alma mater to lead the cross country squad. The fall of 2010 will represent his fourth year to lead the helm.During his second year at the helm of the Pride, Ferraro coached Mike Griffin to his second-straight trip to the NCAA Championships. In the national meet, Griffin crossed the finish line placing 152nd out of 278 runners.
In his first year, Ferraro helped guide Griffin to the NCAA Championships at St. Olaf Colege in Northfield, Minn. Griffin had finished eighth of 330 runners at the NCAA Regionals at Harkness Park in Waterford, Conn. Both Griffin and Jeff Bartlett were also named NEWMAC All-Academic for 2007.
A native of Springfield, Mass., Ferraro was a four-year letterwinner for the Pride. Serving as the team captain during the 2006 campaign, Ferraro was selected to the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team. Ferraro went on to graduate Cum Laude with a degree in Business Management. He previously served as the assistant track coach at Cathedral High School in Springfield.
Peter Ferraro, a 2007 graduate of Springfield College, enters his fourth season at the helm of men's cross country team at his alma mater in the fall of 2010. Ferraro led the Pride to a second-place finish at the NEWMAC Championships in 2009 and was honored as the NEWMAC Coach of the Year.
