Wrestling Takes One Of Three At Plymouth State Quad Meet
Plymouth, N.H. - February 8, 2009 - In a quad meet featuring three teams ranked in the 10 team in the New England Division III poll, the Springfield College wrestling team won one of three matches on Sunday afternoon. Springfield fell to top-ranked Johnson & Wales, 35-6, and lost to No. 8 Plymouth State, 26-18. The 6th-ranked Pride down Trinity, 25-21.Leading the way for the Pride was senior Chris Brown, who went 3-0 at 285. Victor Stanziale, Ronald Thompson, and Steve Flathers also notched two wins on the afternoon for Springfield.

Head Coach Daryl Arroyo
Former Springfield College All-American Daryl Arroyo will be entering his 20th season as the head wrestling coach at his alma mater in 2009-10. Under his tutelage, the Springfield College wrestling program has posted a 278-151-6 overall dual-meet record, good for an outstanding .646 winning percentage.
