Scarpetti, a freshman from Lititz, Penn., was one of five Springfield College wrestlers who placed in the top six of their respective weight classes.
Placing 5th in their weight classifications were seniors Jamie Sgaglione (No. Massapequa, N.Y.) at 141 pounds, Erik Delahanty (Clinton, Conn.) at 157, and Jake Tyler (Gouverneur, N.Y.) at 165. Also finishing 6th in the 184-pound weight class was senior Elliot Smith (Richville, N.Y.).

Former Springfield College All-American Daryl Arroyo will be entering his 20th season as the head wrestling coach at his alma mater in 2009-10. Under his tutelage, the Springfield College wrestling program has posted a 278-151-6 overall dual-meet record, good for an outstanding .646 winning percentage.
