What to Expect
The Department of Education Evening Degree Program for Graduate Students offers teacher licensure programs, with credits that can be applied to a master's degree:
- Early Childhood Education - licensure program designed to prepare teachers in one year to teach children in PreK through second grade.
- Elementary Education - licensure program designed to prepare teachers in one year to teach children in grades one through six.
- Secondary Education - licensure program designed to prepare high school teachers to work in regular and alternative settings.
- Special Education - designed to prepare teachers in one year to teach students with mild to moderate disabilities.
