The Computer Graphics Digital Arts Program Welcomes New Faculty Member Gapyuel Seo!
Prof. Seo comes to our program with over 11 years in the Video Game Industry, as a Senior Artist, working for Vicarious Visions, Inc., now wholly owned by Activision, Inc.Activision is best known for developing video game titles such as “Guitar Hero”, “Transformers”, “Spiderman”, and “Crash Nitro Kart”.

SC Computer Graphics/Digital Arts Alum welcomes current SC Computer Graphics/Digital Arts Senior to World Wresting Entertainment. (WWE)
Springfield College Alum, Chris Connelly (2005), a graduate of the Computer Graphics/Digital Arts program and currently the Sr. Interactive Web Director of World Wrestling Entertainment, welcomes senior Chris Dillon (2011) to his internship with WWE. Chris Dillon will work with the design team and photo editing team at WWE, during his spring semester . The two men are flanked by a portrait of WWE Wrestler and fellow SC Alum, John Cena (99).

Springfield College 3D Game Design Town, Fall '09
This was the final project in a 3D Game Design course at Springfield College, in Springfield, Mass. The town was constructed in the newly released Unreal Development Kit using only assets created by the students in the course. Credits go to Matthew Dale (main 3D modeler), Josh Masse (rigging, animation, particle effects), Luis Martinez (3D modeling), James Winkfield (3D modeling), Heather Anderson (texturing, creative input), and Brian Sojkowski (level design, scripting, project organization, sound).

3D And 2D Animation
Offering a semester in Los Angeles at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects!Computer graphics/digital arts majors explore animation through the use of MAYA and Flash while learning Web design with Dreamweaver, HTML, and CSS. As they advance, our computer graphics/digital arts students create 3d modeling, motion tests, games, and 3d animation.

Web Design
Springfield College computer graphics/digital arts majors create interactive Web sites using industry standard programs. Students have used their Web design skills to create sites for local nonprofit agencies as a community service project, in keeping with the College’s Humanics mission of leadership in service to others.Click here to access student Web design work.
Internship/Field Work
In their senior year, students in computer graphics/digital arts select an internship/fieldwork placement in either 3d, graphic design, or Web design, enabling them to experience the "real world" of the computer graphics/digital arts industry. Students fine tune their skills at companies such as:- Hasbro
- Lego
- Baystate Medical System
- The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame
- Xvivo Scientific Animation
- Click 3X, a film and TV animation design firm
