Class of 2003
Welcome to the Class of 2003 Web page!
Greetings Class of ’03 Alumni!
It’s quite possible that you may have lost track. Yes, another five years have gone by and we are approaching the 10 year mark since we had our last hoorah at good old Springfield College. We are now truly immersed in the “real world” with real responsibilities; whether it’s traveling, settling down, or expanding your own family, time has certainly flown by. While many of us are able to keep tabs on one another through Facebook or other social media sites, spending quality time with former classmates, roommates, teammates, and friends is irreplaceable. Reunion Weekend at Springfield College is the perfect opportunity to spark old memories and create new ones.
On June 6-9, 2013, you are welcomed back to a place you once called, and may still call, “home.” Join fellow alumni and their families for a fun-filled weekend. The Office of Alumni Relations and Class of 2003 Reunion Committee have been hard at work to create events and activities that we can enjoy together. Keep in mind that though it seems like we left campus yesterday, today’s present day campus is much different than we remember. New buildings, expansions, and even renovations after a tornado ripped through campus have left Springfield College looking new and improved.
In order to get the planning into full gear, please look through the enclosed information with this letter, including the pre-response form. Please fill this out and return it ASAP so that we can begin to prepare! Along with hotel accommodations in the Springfield area, there will be some Townhouses available for rent as well along with childcare opportunities for those with kids. And, don’t hesitate to contact any of the reunion committee or post ideas/suggestions/photos to our Springfield College Class of 2003 Facebook page. Please feel free to invite others to this page, as well!
Our class has a lot of catching up to do in regard to our class participation in giving to the Springfield College Fund (formerly known as the Annual Fund). This year we have decided to remember one of our classmates, Melissa Buglino Killeen, who is no longer with us. Any donation you make to the Springfield College Fund, no matter how big or small, can be made in Melissa’s memory. You must make a note of this when you make your donation. Her family will also receive all of the names (not amount of money donated) of those whom contributed in Melissa’s name. Together we can make Melissa proud! Give online, or donate via phone at (800) 622-6072. You also can mail your gift to the Office of Development, 263 Alden St., Springfield, MA 01109.
You will receive more information about Reunion Weekend as it gets closer. Don’t forget to update your personal information to be sure you receive everything! Please reach out and get everyone excited about this event. Don’t hesitate to contact the Office of Alumni Relations or any of the members of the Reunion Committee with questions. We can’t wait to see you in June!
