Generally, students entering the program will have a strong background or interest in the application of psychology to the workplace. Students with bachelor degrees in psychology, business, sociology, marketing, and related fields will find themselves prepared for studies in industrial/organizational psychology. Work experience in a related field is also a factor when considering potential students.
The Industrial/Organizational Psychology Program at Springfield College does not require students to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Students who succeed in the program generally enter the program with a strong background in analytic and human relations skills. A typical student would have demonstrated past academic success with a grade point average of approximately 3.0 and above.
