Creative Writing Minor
The Creative Writing minor is designed for students who want to develop their creative work. In this minor, students participate in two writing workshops: Creative Writing (ENGL 226) and Advanced Creative Writing (ENGL 306). In these small, supportive courses, students and faculty respond to and critique each other’s work. Students will write in a variety of forms and genres, including poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction. These workshops are combined with additional courses in literary study (for a total of 15 credit hours) in order for students to gain background and skills that can inform their own writing.
